TRAVEL. Salamanca. ISLA-Bus Madrid - Salamanca
The big advantage of the ISLA transfer is that is offers a direct service from Madrid airport to Salamanca. You don’t need to bother with taking the metro or a taxi to the centre of Madrid, or worry that the public coach or train are full.Please note: 1) The bus leaves Terminal 1 on Sundays at 17.00 (see dates and extra days below). Plan for your flight to arrive by about 15.00 to give you time to get your luggage and change Terminal if necessary. The bus cannot wait for late flights. 2) The return journey form Salamanca to Madrid departs Salamanca at 0900, so don’t book a flight back home for before 1400. 3) In order for the Transfer to run ISLA requires a minimum amount of confirmed participants. In the unlikely event of cancellation we will give you information about alternative ways to get to Salamanca and assist with booking if required. All monies paid for the Transfer service will be refunded in the event of cancellation. On arrival you should go to the Coach parking lot. This is to the LEFT of the general car park as you go out of TERMINAL 1. If you have arrived in TERMINAL 2 or 3, follow the signs to TERMINAL 1 first. If you have arrived at TERMINAL 4, catch the transfer bus to Terminal 1 (travelling time approx 20 minutes) which leaves from the bus rank outside the terminal building, opposite the main doors. Travelling time from Madrid Airport to Salamanca is about 3 hours. On arrival in Salamanca the bus will be met by the host families. Students living in self catering flats/apartments or residences should go directly to their accommodation on foot or by taxi (4-8 euros). The price of the ISLA Transfer bus is 20 euros one way and 40 euros return. Dates:
