The Instituto Cervantes promotes and safeguards Spanish language and culture around the world and is responsible for Spain's Accreditation scheme for Spanish language centres. Any language school that wishes to receive this official recognition is exhaustively inspected in all aspects of its program (academic, administrative, accommodation, leisure activities, veracity of publicity claims and more).

Cervantes accredited schools undergo an exhaustive inspection of all aspects of their programs. ISLA was one of the first schools to receive DELE accreditation and is now an approved examination centre test for the DELE diplomas. You can sign up your DELE exam direct with us.
FEDELE is the Spanish Federation of Schools of Spanish for Foreigners and is composed of six associations, which in turn encompass 90 schools of Spanish as a foreign language. The main goal of FEDELE is to promote Spain’s image as destination which offers quality Spanish Teaching. All federated schools hold the official seal of quality in teaching Spanish (Certificate of accreditation by the Instituto Cervantes).
College/university credit, grants, training ISLA courses are approved by the Catholic University of Salamanca for university credit which in turn is recognized by international universities and colleges. ISLA is an approved partner for Erasmus plus language projects and has a PIC (Personal Identification Code).
We are a preferred training provider for several international institutions including the Food and Agriculture Organization, the Red Cross as well as several multinational companies.
ISLA distinguishes itself from others in its role as an established training centre for Spanish teachers. ISLA is an approved centre of training courses and seminars for Spanish teachers, organizing around 5 courses sessions each year for around 100 teachers. It is the beneficiary of around 50 Junta de Castilla León local authority educational grants per year which include one week's training, accommodation and activities.
ISLA is recognized by the Duke of Edinburgh Awards scheme as providing a suitable residential experience for those doing their D of E Gold.
